# Installation Guide

Xingtu Accounting is a desktop bookkeeping software. Installation method: On Windows, double-click the installation package xingtu-setup.exe and follow the prompts to click Next; on macOS, drag Xingtu Accounting into the "Applications" folder. A six-digit local password must be set upon first launch; if forgotten, data can only be recovered via backup files. The minimum configuration requirement is 4GB of RAM and 500MB of available disk space.
